C-band (4–8 GHz) is the satellite band least affected by rain fade. C-band VSAT — frequently asked questions
C-band or Ku-band? C-band is more resistant to heavy rain and offers wider coverage; Ku-band allows smaller dishes. For maximum availability we combine C-band, Ku-band, Starlink or OneWeb with SD-WAN automatic failover.
Which dish do I need? C-band uses larger dishes than Ku-band; we size the antenna to your location and throughput and supply the complete kit (antenna, BUC, LNB, modem).
